Thank you, Thank you, Thank You - Volunteer Showcase
It was great to see so many people at our Volunteer Showcase on Sunday 31st January - a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to meet up and enjoy a celebratory drink in Kemptown’s elegant Blanch House. We are so grateful to everyone who gives so much time and energy to the Group; you are indeed the life blood of our organisation!

In addition to the drinks, chat and free diabetes management kits (courtesy of Roche), we enjoyed roaming-slight-of-hand magic with award winning magician Matt Parro, shown here wowing our guests with his amazing card tricks.

Bethan John, one of our dedicated volunteers who has been supporting young people with diabetes said ‘The Volunteer Celebration was a great opportunity to meet with good friends that I've come to know since becoming involved with the group, and meet volunteers that I'd not met before. I really valued the opportunity to share personal experiences with other diabetics in a safe environment and was also able to offer practical support to those newly-diagnosed. An added bonus was coming away with a brand new blood-testing meter from Roche, which was great!'

Very special thanks to Rachel Fallone for designing our 2010 programme, Graham Snowdon for taking the photos, Blanch House, Matt Parro and last but not least Roche.
