Creepy Crawly Halloween Party
Some of the farm animals appeared quite startled to see a troupe of witches and vampires gather together on Friday the 30th October at Spring Barn Farm as our Halloween Party got into full swing. Everyone - children, brothers, sisters, parents - had a great time, carving scary pumpkins, playing on the fantastic adventure area and maze and listening to spooky stories.

The most ghoulish costume competition was won by vampire Jasper aged four. Ten year old Jack loved his monster head with squashy eyeballs, and lots of little witches were awarded black cat trick or treat bags. Six year old Jessica was very excited about using hers to collect loads of goodies the next evening.

Quite a few of the parents hadn't been to any events like this before but all said they were glad they had come. Parent Anne said, ‘As a single parent I find it difficult to attend evening events but Jack and his friend have really enjoyed today and it has been great for me to meet other parents dealing with the same things.’ The children were reluctant to leave and stayed bouncing on the farm's giant pillows until all we could see were glowsticks flickering in the dark ...
