Diabetes UK 75th Anniversary Celebration
Diabetes UK started life in 1934, seventy-five years ago, and the national charity have been staging a variety of national events to commemorate this achievement.

London and the South East region held a conference event at The Wellcome Collection Museum on Euston Road, London, with an afternoon of information and celebration to thank individual and group volunteers for giving up their time to support the charity in their own ways.

As well as being wooed with nibbles and wine, volunteers from the Brighton group had the opportunity to question medical professionals and representatives from Diabetes UK and learn about ways the charity is likely to be shaped in the future. All participants also took part in an interactive quiz charting the progression of Diabetes UK and diabetes research – in the style of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but without the large cash prize!

The Brighton Group would like to take this opportunity to show its gratitude to its volunteers, as without their support, the group could not function in the way it does.
